Standing seam metal roofing
Mechanically seamed standing seam actually requires less metal material than any other metal roofing system, whether it's double locked or single stage technology needed, depends on your roof slope degree. Metal azimuth pocket (book) folds are raised to create a sweep or simple raised (standing) seam. That same seam, may be flattened or chased in order to create or raise another seam. This method connects perpendicular panels with a seam that diverts water, instead of a hidden joggle cleat metal fastened with hidden screws, where water or ice might scale into hidden fasteners, instead of meeting a folded seam and u-turn down the roof. Sweep seam is best beneficial to divert water away from chimney or window corner at the top, where many metal roofing systems first show signs of water infiltration and or rust. Connecting the chimney pan and side panel together with a sweep seam with proper technology allows you to choose the path of water, thus choosing which Downspout releases its elements to your property. Custom louver ventilations
Custom louver vents are designed per dimensions given with a stainless or galvanized steel metal mesh behind the louver vents with a hole no bigger than 1/8" per code to deter fire Embers but still allow air flow into the home and out. A one piece sill flashing with built in side j channels can be done upon request, thus creating a truly folded transition and give an easier more water tight siding installation.
Chimney cap repair
Split-sleeve collar can be added to round vent pipe with a lock seam at the base, thus not having to entirely rely on caulking or sealant. Small raised creases on the base can also be added to divert water and ice. These custom sleeves we lock also add strength and rigidity to the pipe itself, besides from having a lock at the base where water and ice would need to travel up and over a closed seam. We can also separate the chimney cap into sections, thus diverting water to certain areas of roof or side of chimney where your gutter would be with a flattened and chased, standing seam. These details avoid problems arisen by methods executed with a large flat piece of metal, that relies on caulking against the water pools at the top.
Parapet wall flashing / coping metal
Choosing a right fastener for the coping cap is important, along with correct cleats. Most coping metal is held with a neoprene screw in the back, for easier installation and removal. A cleat can also be added to the back to avoid having a visible screw in the back if it will be in a high traffic area, which is commonly referred as "double cleat coping metal". There are many ways to install, and can also be given a slope to keep water off your siding and into your flat roof, and into your scupper or overflow.
